SangerCenter의 RichardDurbin이 설계했다고 전해짐. 주로 BioPerl에 쓰임. One of the OpenSourceInBioinformatics. [[Python]]에서도 쓸 수 있으며 http://www.biopython.org/wiki/GFF_Parsing [[Galaxy]]에서도 상호 변환하는데 활용할 수 있다.
