GenomeSurveySequence

[[EST]]와 유사하나, 얻게되는 과정이 cDNA를 통하지 않고 [[Genome]]으로부터 직접 얻어진 서열. exon trapped products와 gene trapped product로 구분된다. RnaSplicing이 일어났을 수도 있으므로, 원래 레코드와 차이가 있을 수 있다.

[[GSS]]는 다음의 데이터들을 포함한다.
 * random "single pass read" genome survey sequences.
 * [[Cosmid]]/[[BAC]]/[[YAC]] end sequences
 * exon trapped genomic sequence
 * [[Alu]] [[PCR]] sequence
 * transposon-tagged sequences

[[NCBI]]에서 [[dbGSS]]라는 이름으로 관리된다.
