PSIMAP(Protein structural Interactome MAP) is a tool for constructing Interactomes. It is a general protocol of mapping Proteins and their family Interactions.

PSIMAP algorithms

• FAC (Full Atom Contact)
  1. caltulates all the atomic contacts among two or more protein structural domians.
  2. Most accurate of the three.
• SAC (Sampled Atom Contact)
  1. Sample every 3rd or 4th atom.
  2. to reduce the time taken in constructing PSIMAP.
• BBC (Bounding Box Contact)
  1. using a bounding box algorithm to dramatically reduce the time of computation.
  2. Dafas and Schroeder et al., introduced a bounding box and convex hull alogrithm that can reduce the search space.
