RNA Structure

• 1차구조 : 서열

• 2차구조 : 평면상에 표시할 수 있는 헤어핀루프등을 포함한 구조 (See RnaSecondaryStructurePrediction)

• 3차구조 : 입체구조

RNA structure의 중요성

• Ribosome의 peptidyl transferase activity는 rRNA에 의해 촉매된다고 생각되어지고 있으며,

• RnaSplicing역시 RNA/Protein복합체 (spliceosome)에 의한 것이다.

• Protein의 세포막으로의 translocation에 관여하는 signal recognition 입자들역시 복합체이다.

• 적절한 RNA의 프로세싱과 변형에는 작은 RNA분자들이 필요하다.
• mRNA에서도, 구조가 post translational genetic regulation에 영향을 미친다.
