JamesStirling(1692-1770)이란 수학자가 계산한 팩토리얼의 실수연산 추세식

factorial함수는 정의에의해 1! = 1이고, (n+1)!=(n+1)n! 이다. (SeeAlso Recursion)

n이 실수일때 혹은 너무클때는 다음의 추세식을 이용할 수 있다.

$\math{ n! \sim \sqrt{2\pi n} \left( {\frac{n}{e}} \right) ^{n} }$

물론 정확한값은 아니다. 다음의 표를 참고
