미국 DOE(Department of Energy), NHGRI에서 주관한 HumanGenome LargeScaleSequencing 서열결정작업. 2003년 공식 프로젝트를 완료했다. 13년간 진행되었으며, 영국, 일본, 프랑스, 독일, 중국등이 참여했다.

지금 막 끝나고 있는 따끈따끈한 서열들은 HumanGenomeProjectWorkingDraft에서 받을 수 있으며, 각종 GenomeBrowser를 이용하여 볼 수 있다.

이후 관련된 후속 프로젝트들이 진행되고 있다.
